BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 7 OCT – In an effort to provide understanding about the importance of building a family based on Islamic teachings to form a life of sakinah, mawaddah wa rahmah, a lecture titled Faith and Piety, the Basis of Happiness in Family Life was held today at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kampung Kiarong.
Present as the guest of honor at the ceremony was the wife of the Honorable Minister of Religious Affairs, Datin Hajah Nahriah binti Haji Awang Asbi.
The religious talk was delivered by the Assistant Counselor of the Prison Department, Awang Fariszal bin Ali.
Among other things, the purpose of the event was to provide guidance to parents to practice prayer and remembrance as an effort to obtain blessings and mercy from God.
In order to support the Family Action Plan 2023-2027, the talk was organized by the Family, Women and Children Institutions Working Committee, Muslim Affairs Division, Mosque Affairs Department with the cooperation of Takmir Jame Committee member Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.
The lecture is also expected to provide an understanding of the importance of referring to the Al-Quran and As-Sunnah in an effort to guide the family to a path that pleases God, in order to enjoy a safe and happy life, both in this world and in the afterlife.
