The Left Party had already been steadily declining in the last elections. Now the main question was how the candidacy of the BSW by Sahra Wagenknecht on the performance of their former party and whether the Left can retain its political importance. In Potsdam, too, these questions were clearly answered with “dramatic” and “no”.
