KOTA KINABALU, 18 OCT – The MADANI Rakyat 2024 Sayangi Sabah program takes place for three days starting today at the Likas Sports Complex grounds, providing a variety of interesting and beneficial activities for visitors.
Targeting 400,000 visitors, the program includes providing 215 People’s Touchpoint Services, 28 services involving the cost of living and various activities for youth.
The program with the theme of Improving Consumer Well-being is scheduled to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, at 2:30 pm tomorrow.
The Sabah Zone is the sixth zone and a complement to the MADANI Rakyat Program this year after the Central Zone in Selangor, the North Zone in Penang, the Eastern Zone in Pahang, the Southern Zone in Johor and the Sarawak Zone.
For the Sabah Zone, the implementation of the program involves the strategic collaboration of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) as the lead ministry as well as the Sabah government and the Performance Surge Coordination Unit (PACU) of the Prime Minister’s Department (JPM).
Bringing MADANI government services to the people of Sabah, various services are offered to visitors such as the facility to pay a summons with a discount of up to 50 percent and exchange old helmets for the first 5,000 visitors.
The Rahmah Sale which offers discounts of up to 30 percent in addition to the MADANI Agro Sale, a security asset exhibition, health inspection, a campaign to buy Malaysian-made goods and a food truck sale were also held.
In addition, approximately 4,000 job opportunities offered by 14 employers also await visitors and residents of Sabah. – Named
