BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 9 SEPT – To further enliven the celebration of the Maulud of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, the Ministry of Development and the departments under it yesterday continued the Dikir Ceremony at the Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Mosque, Kampung Sungai Akar.
A total of 50 people from the ministry joined the delegation led by the Minister of Development, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid who was also the guest of honor at the event.
The ceremony began with the obligatory Maghrib prayer in congregation followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and the reading of Dikir Syarafil ‘Anam, and then continued with the obligatory prayer of Isya’ in congregation and Dikir Qiam.
While the recitation of Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam was read by Muhammad Helmy Bin Haji Jamil, Level 3 Imam, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Also present at the ceremony were the heads of Departments, senior officers as well as officers and staff from the Ministry of Development and departments under it.
A ceremony like this aims, among other things, to commemorate the birth of the great master Prophet Muhammad SAW and to foster more love for His Majesty.
The group will continue the ceremony to Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, Kampung Kiarong, on Thursday, September 12.
