YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. The national football team of Armenia hosted the national team of Latvia in the inaugural match of the new round of the League of Nations (subgroup C4);
According to “Armenpress”, at the start of the match held at the Republican Stadium named after Vazgen Sargsyan, the Armenian national team dominated the initiative and took the lead right from the start. After receiving Nair Tiknizyan’s pass, Vahan Bichakhchyan stood out with a shot (6th minute). Latvia managed to quickly restore parity. Ulgrikis scored the goal in the 9th minute. At the end of the half, the defender of the Latvian national team made a gross mistake, becoming the author of an own goal. Passing the ball back to the goalkeeper, Dubra became the author of an own goal (35th minute).
At the start of the second half, the national football team of Armenia also scored the third ball. At the right time, at the right place, Lucas Selarayan appeared and scored another team goal. Latvia did not manage to break the course of the match. The national football team of Armenia managed to send the 4th ball to the goal of Latvia. After receiving Hrant-Leon Ranos’ pass, Eduard Spertsyan stood out with an emphatic shot.
