There is no term to look after the image, Kenji Sawahi accepts various characters

As a Malaysian actor who has been involved in the art world for over 40 years, Kenji Sawahi has his own way of surviving.

For Kenji, 61, an actor should be open to accepting various offers and not only be tied to one character for the sake of maintaining an image or appearance.

According to him, the actor is the person responsible for bringing each character to life in order to have an impact on the storyline.

“For me, actors cannot create their own image. As actors we are ’empty’ and act according to the characters in the script.

“There are some actresses, for example, who don’t want to play the role of a mother because they want to protect their image. That can’t be. I myself do not form a certain image as an actor. It’s fun when given various characters because that’s a challenge,” he said, according to reports mStar.

Most recently, Kenji appeared as a successful entrepreneur in the latest drama titled It turned out to be a happiness which is currently airing on the channel Astro Ria

In the meantime, the actor is also firm in the matter of payment so that no production side tries to take advantage of a senior actor like him.

Speaking further, Kenji also advised the production to be more sensitive and get to know senior actors before making an offer. – Agency
