The Berlin outdoor pool season ends with bad news. The large Spandau Süd summer pool, which is usually over 100,000 visitors will remain closed next season and will not be open again until May 2026 at the earliest. The outdoor pool has been closed since 2022 and a failed construction site. The renovation of the dilapidated outdoor pools is already since 2019 spokenwithout anything happening on site in five years – and ultimately it was all too late. Total loss. Total closure. Total frustration for swimmers.
