BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 29 – Three students who have been offered scholarships to study abroad, yesterday, were celebrated in a Thanksgiving Prayer Ceremony for the Awarding of Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU) Scholarships at the Master’s Level, Academic Session 2024/2025.
The ceremony organized by KHEU through the Department of Islamic Studies was held at Dewan Songket 3, Rizqun International Hotel, Gadong.
Present as the guest of honor at the ceremony was the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan.
The three recipients will depart for the United Kingdom in their respective fields, namely Awang Ahmad Rusydi bin Haji Mohd Salleh will continue his studies in majors Master in Commercial Lawat Queen Mary University of London; Awang Mohammad Nur Hafizuddin bin Abdullah Mohamad Norajme majoring Master in Statisticsat the University of Leeds; and Dayang Nurafrina Fikriyah binti Abdul Razak in majors Master (Taught): Arabic-English Translation at the University of Birmingham
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a speech from the chairman of the ceremony, Director of Islamic Studies, KHEU, Haji Shamshol bin Haji Omar.
The ceremony then continued with the presentation of the KHEU Scholarship Award Letter to the celebrated students which was completed by the guest of honor of the ceremony and followed by a video screening.
The ceremony ended with a prayer of thanksgiving by Haji Mohammad Hendra bin Haji Meraji.
Also present were the permanent secretary, acting permanent secretary, deputy permanent secretary, acting deputy permanent secretary, Raes of Seri Begawan University College of Religion and senior officers of KHEU.
