Policy: One of those arrested was arrested because he was holding a placard with a swastika in the square in front of the Parliament, where the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC) demonstration started.

Later, a man was arrested for shouting “a racist comment” at a counter-protester from the pro-Israel group Enough is Enough. They had lined up and held a marker along the route of the PSC’s march.

“Stop bombing Gaza, stop bombing children” and “Free Palestine, crush racism” were among the slogans shouted during the PSC’s demonstration. This is the thirteenth national commemoration since the Hamas attack on Israel and the start of the war in the Gaza Strip last October.
