Theft: Front Street
An unidentified male stole two bottles of Smirnoff Ice and a can of Simply Spiked Peach at about 11 a.m. Sept. 4 from Pick Wick Food Mart, 450 Front.
On Sept. 5, the owner of Pick Wick noticed two missing bottles from a six-pack of Smirnoff Ice. He checked security video to see what happened.
The video showed that one day earlier, two males walked into Pick Wick. One of the males grabbed a can of Simply Spiked Peach from the cooler and slipped it into his sweatshirt pocket.
The man then picked up a six-pack of Smirnoff Ice. He walked to the end of the aisle, removed two bottes from the six-pack and dropped them into his bookbag.
Both males then left the store without paying for the alcohol.
Theft: Front Street
An unidentified male stole at least three crystalized stones at about 6 p.m. Sept. 3 from The Shoppe in Berea, 188 Front.
The owner of The Shoppe was in a back room when the theft occurred. While watching live security video, she saw the male place the stones in his pocket. He left the store without paying.
The male then stepped into the passenger seat of a gray sedan. A female was driving the sedan. Two other females were in the car.
The owner of The Shoppe wrote down the sedan’s license-plate number. Police traced the plate to a Hyundai belonging to a Brook Park woman.
Arrest warrant served: Ohio 237
A wanted Columbia Station woman, 43, was arrested at about 11 p.m. Sept. 4 on 237 at Sheldon Road.
Police pulled over the woman’s car because she ran a red light. They recognized the woman from a previous arrest for possessing illegal drugs.
The woman was wanted in Berea, Westlake and North Olmsted and by the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Theft of government property: Berea Street
Two street signs on Berea Street – one at Pulaski Street and the other at Adelbert Street – were stolen from their poles.
Police noticed the signs missing at about 3 p.m. Sept. 7.
