Berlin (dpa/bb) – The women of 1. FC Union Berlin remain unbeaten in the 2nd Bundesliga. After two draws, the newcomer beat the league leaders SV 67 Weinberg 2-0 (1-0). In front of 4,201 spectators in the Stadion An der Alten Försterei, goals from captain Lisa Heiseler (45th/+1 minute) and Sarah Abu Sabbah (67th) secured the win.

After a tough first half, a much larger Union victory was possible in the second half under the watchful eye of President Dirk Zingler. However, the Berlin team also fell into the offside trap several times by the guests, who were repeatedly forced onto the defensive.
