The National Weather Service issued an updated report at 1:52 p.m. on Sunday for strong thunderstorms until 2:30 p.m. for Mercer, Auglaize, Darke, Shelby and Miami counties.
Anticipate pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) and wind gusts of up to 50 mph.
“At 1:52 p.m., strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Ansonia to near Versailles to Bradford, moving northeast at 40 mph,” says the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible.”
