BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 9 – Bank Baiduri welcomed an educational visit from a total of 30 students of the Seri Mulia Sarjana School (SMSS) at the Bank Baiduri Headquarters, today.
During the visit, Bank Baiduri provided the Year 10 students of the school with a comprehensive learning experience to improve their financial literacy and understanding of banking and financial operations.
Officials from the Baiduri Bank Group’s Strategic Marketing and Communications Department gave a brief introduction on the bank’s achievements, main product offerings and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
It was followed by a financial awareness talk by a member of Baiduri Bank’s Wealth Management team, who touched on the importance of starting financial planning early and featured an introduction to basic financial tools that can help students save.
The students also had the opportunity to visit the Baiduri Bank Headquarters including a visit to the Banking Hall, Digital Hub and Baiduri Capital of the bank’s subsidiary, where the group was introduced to investment planning.
According to Baiduri Bank’s Head of Wealth Management, Brian Wong, said the visit was able to stimulate interest among younger school students to learn about financial savings and budgeting in the real world.
“By encouraging these students to start thinking about managing their finances as early as possible and informing them of the services and tools available, we are taking another important step towards increasing financial awareness and financial literacy in Brunei as a whole, in line with the objectives of the Brunei Darussalam National Council for Financial Literacy ,” he added.
