Our next cold front is on the approach and will begin to move in today. Before it arrives, winds will be light and temperatures will not be as chilly this morning.
As the front cuts through the Sunflower State there will not be any moisture associated with it. As winds pick up with its arrival, they will be strongest to the north and west.
The front will not quite make it to South Central Kansas before reaching afternoon highs. Toasty 90s will be found to the south and east while areas to the northwest will be more fall-like in the 70s.
We are off to a warmer start to the day this morning but then we will start early Friday morning on a cooler note. Areas to the northwest will need to throw on an extra layer before heading out the door.
We continue to see ups and downs in our temperatures but they will mainly be above average most of the time. Skies will be sunny through the weekend.
Another cold front moves in from the north late Saturday. Before we feel a cooler impact it will be a windy and warm day with highs in the 90s. High pressure moves right back in behind the front at the end of the weekend which will aid in keeping us dry.
Much of next week is looking dry too as high pressure continues to dominate. This also means there will not be much change in the warmth that we have been experiencing.
