The CDU-led traffic administration has withdrawn internal plans to abolish 30 km/h zones in front of schools, kindergartens and senior citizens’ homes. “Nobody is abolishing 30 km/h zones in front of schools or kindergartens. There is no corresponding plan,” Petra Nelken, spokeswoman for the traffic authority, told the Tagesspiegel on Thursday.
