KUALA LUMPUR, 19 SEPT – The national men’s doubles Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun pulled off a surprise when they defeated the world champions from South Korea, Kang Min Hyuk-Seo Seung Jae in the second round of the China Open 2024 today.

The pair, ranked 13th in the world, defeated their opponents in straight sets 21-18, 21-19 to advance to the quarter-finals at the Xincheng Gymnasium, China.

Waiting for Wei Chong-Kai Wun in the quarter-finals tomorrow is the winner of the action involving the national pair, Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Mohd Rumsani against fellow countrymen, Wan Arif Wan Junaidi-Yap Roy King.

“We are very happy because sometimes we win brilliantly, we lose and bounce back.
