Record: The German national football team will play its 1019th international match against the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Tuesday (8.45 p.m./RTL). The record stands at 587 wins, 211 draws and 220 defeats. The goal difference is 2285:1199.
Nations League: For the fourth time, the title will be played for in the still young UEFA competition for national teams. The Nations League winners so far have been Portugal (2019), France (2021) and Spain (2023). The 5-0 win against Hungary in the opening match was only the fourth victory for the DFB team in 17 matches. There were also nine draws and four defeats with a goal difference of 29:29. In addition to Hungary and Holland, Bosnia-Herzegovina are also opponents in Group 3. The first and second place teams advance to the quarter-finals.
National coach: For Julian Nagelsmann, the 5-0 win against Hungary was the biggest win in 14 international matches as national coach. Before match number 15, the 37-year-old’s record is eight wins, three draws and three defeats, with a goal difference of 29:14.
Netherlands: The arch-rivals of football, the Netherlands and Germany, are meeting for the 47th time. From the DFB’s perspective, there were 17 wins, 17 draws and twelve defeats. Squad: Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller made his international debut against Hungary. The 23-year-old is the tenth debutant under national coach Nagelsmann. The only players in the current DFB squad without an international match are substitute goalkeeper Oliver Baumann (TSG Hoffenheim) and Stiller’s club colleague Alexander Nübel. With 92 appearances, captain Joshua Kimmich from FC Bayern Munich is the most experienced player, followed by Kai Havertz with 52 matches.

Goal scorers: Bayern youngster Aleksandar Pavlovic was able to celebrate his first goal in the second international match in the great success against Hungary. This means that nine of the 20 field players in the DFB squad have scored at least one goal. Arsenal striker Kai Havertz is the most successful scorer with 19 goals.
