The bodycam footage of Justin Timberlake getting arrested for DWI-related charges back in June will not be released to the public.
The “Mirrors” singer reportedly came to a mutual agreement with the Office of the Suffolk County District Attorney, with both parties agreeing to seal the video, according to TMZ.
No one will be allowed to access the footage outside of Timberlake’s legal team, police and prosecutors.
A rep for the Office of the Suffolk County District Attorney did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Page Six previously reported that Timberlake, 43, pleaded guilty to a traffic violation and driving while ability impaired (DWAI) on Friday –– three months after he was arrested for allegedly running a stop sign and swerving between lanes in Sag Harbor, NY.
At the time of his arrest, Timberlake claimed he only “had one martini” but was subsequently arrested and spent the night at the local jail.
The Grammy winner was initially charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two traffic violations.
However, Timberlake was later able to plead guilty to an impaired traffic violation, DWAI charge –– which is not a criminal offense.
A judge ordered Timberlake to complete 25 hours of community service, pay a $500 fine and appear in a public service announcement warning people about the dangers of drunk driving.
Timberlake reportedly apologized during the hearing last week and said that he does “understand and appreciate the seriousness” of his arrest.
Shortly after he accepted his plea deal, Timberlake spoke to news outlets outside the Sag Harbor courthouse and urged people to not follow in his footsteps.
“Even if you’ve had one drink, don’t get behind the wheel of a car. There’s so many alternatives — call a friend, take an Uber, there’s many travel apps, take a taxi,” Timberlake said last week.
“This is a mistake that I made, but I’m hoping that whoever is watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake. I know that I certainly have.”
