In order to sell the book that was sold, an individual claimed to be the father of Jennie, a member of the Blackpink group.
More confusingly, the individual told that he and Jennie had been separated for a long time since the singer was a child. The confession caused confusion among fans so that some were consumed by the man’s deception.
Appearing to speak, Jennie’s management company, AO Entertainment, insisted that the allegations made by the man were false and untrue. Even the confession made was just a tactic to promote the sale of his book.
“We would like to clarify that all of the above is incorrect and that the published book has nothing to do with Jennie. We ask fans not to buy the book to avoid any loss,” he said.
In the meantime, Jennie’s side will take legal action against the individual for the offense of spreading fake news.
“We have filed a criminal suit against the distributor of this book for spreading false information, defamation, and business interruption. The individual’s actions are a clear crime and we are trying to collect all the evidence,” he explained. – Agency
