WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Open houses for the St. Jude Dream home begin this weekend. That will continue every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. until Oct. 20.
At the open house, people can enter to win a $10,000 shopping spree at Wichita Furniture and Mattress.
One of the bedrooms is designed by St. Jude patient Jessica. She picked out everything she wanted to decorate the room. After the dream home has its owner, Jessica will get to put that furniture in her own room.
“I just thought it was an awesome experience,” Jessica’s dad Tanner said. “I mean, it’s really cool for the St. Jude Dream Home, seeing everybody coming together and seeing how kind of behind-the-scenes stuff on how it all comes to light. It’s pretty cool.”
