Following the death of Liam Payne last Wednesday, singer Zayn Malik decided to postpone his concert tour in the United States which was supposed to start on October 23.
Concert Stairway To Heaven expected to be rescheduled in January next year.
Zayn, 31, said that the loss of his friend, who is also a former member of the One Direction group, had a profound effect.
“Due to such a sad loss this week, I have decided to postpone the tour Stairway To Heaven. The date has been postponed to January next year and I will inform you soon,” he said.
Zayn wrote the matter on his Instastory on Saturday.
The concert tour is a promotional framework for his fourth album which should be in five locations starting in San Francisco on October 23.
Last Wednesday, the entertainment world was shocked by the news of Liam’s death after falling from the third floor of a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Zayn and Liam were previously both members of One Direction since the group was formed in 2010 before they officially broke up around 2016. The group also included Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles. – Agency
