100 religious teachers participated in psychology and pedagogy workshops

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 5 SEPT- As a continuation of the International Conference on Psychology and Pedagogy (ICoPP) 2024 yesterday, today a total of 100 Islamic education teachers as well as officials and staff from several ministries participated in a psychology and pedagogy workshop held at the Seri Begawan University College of Religion (KUPUSB) )

In the workshop, participants discussed several module topics together with the conference presenter facilitator including The role of psychology in religious education, Guidance and Counseling: Tazkiyah An-Nafs approach: Model and Implementation, Integration of psychological elements in the Islamic education syllabus, Teaching module for Islamic gama education and Good character and a teacher who is missed.

The workshop was delivered by domestic and foreign experts namely Dr Goolam Hussein Rassool from the Center for Islamic and Cultural Studies, Charles Stuart University, Australia; Senior Assistant Professor from the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Education, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Dr Hajah Salwa binti Dato Seri Setia Haji Mahalle; Associate Professor Dr Mohd Noor bin Saper from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia; Consultant Organizational Psychologist, Malaysia, Dr Alizi Alias ​​and Professor Dr Adi Atmoko from Malang State University, Indonesia.

With a theme Effective Pedagogy Based on Holistic Psychology, The workshop was held with the aim of being a platform for the participants to acquire the latest knowledge in the field of psychology and pedagogy, including theory, research, and best practice through a discussion approach as well as sharing experience and expertise with the facilitator.

This includes raising awareness of the latest issues and challenges in education and psychology, as well as encouraging dialogue and solutions to address these issues, which is to support and encourage innovation in pedagogical approaches and psychological interventions to improve learning outcomes and student well-being.

The atmosphere during the workshop was held with some of the religious teachers who participated.
