Sport: In February, the German giants announced that Tuchel was finished as the team’s head coach after the current season.
However, this spring’s good results in the Champions League should have laid the foundation for new talks about the German’s future. However, Bayern and Tuchel could not agree.
– This is my very last press conference here. The agreement from February is firm. There have been new talks, but we were unable to reach an agreement. It is of course difficult. I don’t want to say what the reason is (for us not reaching an agreement), the German said on Friday.
Thus, Saturday’s away game against Hoffenheim will be the German’s last in the coaching chair.
Bayern was this season knocked down from the Bundesliga throne after more than ten years of hegemony in German football. Not even in the German Cup or in the Champions League did silverware result for the victorious German machine.
