Economy and business: The countdown to Monday’s launch was interrupted after a pressure-regulating valve on the Atlas V launch vehicle opened and closed so quickly it made a loud noise. Technicians determined on Tuesday that the valve must be replaced, and the launch can therefore take place on May 17 at the earliest.

The company’s first manned Starliner spaceflight has been postponed several times due to several problems with the capsule.

In 2014, NASA gave Boeing and SpaceX the task of sending astronauts in shuttle traffic between Earth and the International Space Station (ISS). The companies have received several billion dollars, and SpaceX has since 2020 sent astronauts back and forth.
