Crime and justice: It is the State Attorney who is demanding that a new risk assessment be carried out for Anders Behring Breivik, writes VG.

The reason is that a private relationship has arisen between psychologist Inni Rein, who has carried out the risk assessment of Breivik, and Andreas Hjetland, the state’s lawyer in the district court proceedings of Breivik’s civil action against the state.

Hjetland has now withdrawn as legal representative for the state in the appeal of this lawsuit.

– The risk assessment is of central importance for the processing of Breivik’s request for parole, and for the prosecution it is important that there is no uncertainty related to his right to a fair treatment of the case, writes State Attorney Hulda Karlsdottir in an email to the newspaper.

Breivik’s defender, Øystein Storrvik, confirms that two new experts have been proposed. The court has proposed that the case be postponed until 18 November.

In 2012, Breivik was sentenced to 21 years in prison with a minimum term of 10 years for the terrorist attacks against Oslo and Utøya on 22 July 2011. 77 people were killed in the attacks.
