Working life: – That is the Norwegian negotiation model, and of course we can end there. But we are in dialogue, and we want to find a solution, says Alf Hansen, who represents Norwegian’s pilots based in Norway to E24.

The head of the Norwegian Pilot Union says that they are in dialogue with Norwegian and that he hopes they will reach the finish line.

The negotiations are in overtime, but no negotiation deadline has been set. This could, in the worst case, end with a pilot strike during the busiest period, the summer holidays.

– We both hope and believe that we will be able to reach an agreement with the pilots, as we have recently done in Spain and Denmark, Norwegian’s director of communications, Esben Tuman, tells the newspaper.

The pilots’ negotiator emphasizes that they do not want to harm the passengers.

– Regardless of the time of year, we fly many people, so it is not a strategic choice that this is going on now, it is because the company has been busy, says E24.

Næringslivsavisen writes that Norwegian has already sold over 300,000 more tickets for this year’s summer season than last year.
