Education: – On a general basis, the processing time for new cases is now approximately four months, the secretariat of the Joint Complaints Board states in an email to NTB.

This is a national committee that deals with cases from all universities.

Kjerkol had to resign as Minister of Health after the Student Affairs Committee at Nord University canceled the master’s thesis she had written together with a student. The reason was plagiarism, which the tribunal believed was done knowingly and intentionally.

On Thursday, it became known that Kjerkol is appealing the decision. Now the tribunal at Nord University must first decide whether they uphold the decision. In that case, the complaint goes on to the Joint Complaints Board.

The decision is exempt from public disclosure, the secretariat states.
