Crime and justice: On the messaging service X, formerly Twitter, write Lapid on Monday that such violence is now out of control.

Lapid also lashes out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and he claims Israel has lost all ability to deter Iran.

After the Hamas attack on Israel last year, there has been an increasing number of violent incidents in the West Bank. Over the weekend, Palestinian homes and cars were set on fire by Israeli settlers, and at least two people were killed.

Prior to this, an Israeli teenager was killed in a suspected terrorist attack, according to the Israeli army.

Netanyahu leads a coalition government that includes several far-right parties eager to expand Israel’s settlements in the West Bank.

Over the weekend, Iran carried out its first ever direct attack on Israel. Hundreds of rockets and drones were sent towards Israel, but the vast majority were shot down. Iran called the attack retaliation for Israel’s attack on an Iranian embassy building in Syria.
