War and conflicts: The group of approximately 20 people shouted, among other things, “Free, free, Palestine” and held up Palestinian flags and a banner that read “Intifada”.

When they were a few hundred meters away from the arena where the semi-final will be held, they were surrounded by at least twice as many police officers and pushed out onto a side road.

This happened around 8 p.m., an hour before the semi-finals start.

They were taken down to a car park some distance away where they were allowed to continue shouting slogans.

There have been large demonstrations in Malmö throughout Thursday against Israel being allowed to participate in the song competition.

Several thousand turned up in the afternoon for a pre-approved demonstration in the city centre, a good distance away from the arena.
