Taylor Swift presents the video for “Fortnight” with Post Malone, Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles

Taylor Swift premiered the video clip for “Fortnight“, with Post Malonefrom his new album, The Tortured Poets Departmentt. For the recording, the singer joined forces with the stars Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles of ““Dead Poets Society”and the network collapsed.

In the images, Swift and Post Malone play ex-lovers, with the latter trying to save the singer who appears trapped in her own space. At one point, Swift appears with face tattoos matching Post Malone’s. Finally, the singer breaks free, burns poems and breaks windows.

“When I was writing the video for Fortnight, I wanted to show you the worlds that I saw in my head and that served as a backdrop to make this music,” the singer wrote in instagram in the middle of its launch. “Almost everything in it is a metaphor or a reference to one corner or another of the album. For me, this video turned out to be the perfect visual representation of this album and the stories I tell in it.”he added.

“@postmalone blew me away on set as our tortured tragic hero and I’m so grateful for everything he put into this collaboration,” he continued.

In another part of the video, the protagonists of dead Poets Society, Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles, they also make cameos as scientists with Swift as a test subject. “I’m still laughing having worked with the coolest guys on earth, @ethanhawke and @mrjoshcharles (tortured poets, meet your hall mates, the dead poets),” Swift added in her post.

In less than 12 hours, Swift’s new double album, The Tortured Poets Departmenthas become the album with the most Spotify streams in a single day from 2024 until now, as confirmed by Spotify to Billboard.
