The government ratified the activities of the demarcation commissions regulation.
At today’s session, the executive approved the draft law “On the ratification of the regulation on the joint activities of the Commission on the Demarcation of the State Border and Border Security between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the State Commission on the Demarcation of the State Border between Azerbaijan and Armenia”.
This was among the unreported issues.
According to this document, Yerevan and Baku agreed to implement the delimitation based on the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration, but this agreement is not final.
The regulation states that the process may proceed according to other principles in the future, after the adoption of the peace agreement.
Regulations yet should be submitted to the Constitutional Courtand then put it for discussion and ratification in the parliaments of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
