1. FC Union Berlin has signed former Hoffenheim player Robert Skov for the left wing. Skov has been without a club since the summer. The Danish compatriot of Union coach Bo Svensson played 31 competitive games for TSG last season, 14 of them in the starting eleven. As usual, the Bundesliga club from Köpenick did not provide any information about the length of the contract.

“Robert is an interesting and flexible player. His technical skills are also not often seen. His advantage is that he already knows the league well and can therefore certainly help us quickly,” Union’s managing director Horst Heldt was quoted as saying in the statement. The Dane came to Hoffenheim in 2019.

Like Robin Gosens, who moved to AC Florence in Italy last Friday, Skov is a left-footer with an offensive urge. The 28-year-old has played a total of 14 times for the Danish national team, most recently in October 2023.
