Sport: This season, Sørloth has found the back of the net three times after 90 minutes played. Jude Bellingham has also managed the feat, while Lionel Messi did the same in the 2016/2017 season.
No other player after the year 2000 has done the same as Sørloth, Bellingham and Messi.
– It’s a lot of fun and very well deserved. It is one thing to score and perform as he does if it were for a top team, but he does it in a team that does not dominate as other top teams do, says Viaplay expert Lars Tjærnås to NTB.
This season, Sørloth has scored a total of 15 times in La Liga. Tjærnås points to the Norwegian’s broad repertoire as a key to success.
– He has so many different weapons, such a rich range of qualities to trump defenders with. He has great speed and can threaten backrooms. He is strong and can keep defenders at bay. He has brilliant timing in the air and can score there too. And he has a sparkling left leg, points out the football expert.
– What he is doing now is phenomenally well done. If they weren’t for Erling and Martin, we would be talking about him in even bigger letters, he adds.
