Crime and justice: Copenhagen City Council has found the 50-year-old man, who called himself King Kong, guilty of being behind the import and sale of two tonnes of hashish. Among other things, he is said to have arranged imports from the Netherlands, according to the judgement.

The man lives in the district, which is often referred to as the haven of Christiania. The 20 million Danish kroner, corresponding to just under 32 million Norwegian kroner, have been seized by the police. The man is described as a mastermind, and he is said to have made the profit in just over a year.

The hashish sale must have been organized in a network with the 50-year-old at the top, and the man paid wages to the others involved, according to the verdict. According to the court, a 49-year-old Dutch citizen is a wholesaler. He is sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment and deportation from Denmark, and a profit of ten million Danish kroner is confiscated.
