Sport: The Ineos rider won the mass sprint in the five-day race. The 26-year-old won ahead of Chris Harper and Esteban Chaves.

– A lovely cycling moment, said Discovery’s commentator Theis Magelssen on the channel’s broadcast.

It was the fast cycling profile’s first international victory in a joint start.

– Finally it sits! exclaimed Magelssen when Foss fought his way first over the finish line.

The Vingrom rider announced his transfer to the British Ineos Grenadiers from the star team Visma-Lease a Bike after last year’s season. The team change came after a very troubled season as a result of a lot of illness.

In 2022, things went much better. Then Foss shocked the entire cycling world by becoming world champion at pace in Wollongong, Australia. The victory there really put the Vingrom boy’s name on the map.

The Norwegian was also brought to Visma-Lease a Bike already in 2020. At the time, the Dutch-based team was called Jumbo-Visma.

The season before, Foss had won the Tour de l’Avenir, considered to be the young people’s Tour de France.
