Leisure time: – It is appropriate that I withdraw, Hansen adds Bergens Tidende.

In December he agreed to be reappointed to his board position, but in March he decided to step down from the foundation. Hansen tells BT that in the meantime he has gone through new rounds with his chairman of Helse Bergen and with the chairman of the foundation.

– I have been in the foundation for a long time, and I am not aware of cooperation problems that lead to me giving up, he says, and adds that he has no further reason for why he is resigning.

Hansen’s departure comes after university rector Margareth Hagen resigned from the Trond Mohn board in January. She thought the dual role of principal and board member had become too demanding.

In February 2023, then chairman Stener Kvinnsland and general manager Sveinung Hole left the foundation.
