THE 45th Guinness Cork Jazz Festival will bring an eclectic lineup of music to Cork City Hall.
The festival will run from Thursday 26 to Monday 30.
The lineup, organised by Tom Keating Presents, will see both Irish and International acts such as The Charlatans, Pillow Queens, Jenny Greene, Tony Hadley and Mack Fleetwood perform in the city centre over the October bank holiday weekend.
Nineties UK legends The Charlatans and rising Indie Rock group Pillow Queens – comprising of Pamela Connolly, Sarah Corcoran, Cathy McGuinness, and Rachel Lyons – will both play Cork City Hall on Friday, October 27.
Beloved alternative rock band The Charlatans, who were part of the Manchester sound of the ’90s along with their contemporaries The Stone Roses and the Happy Mondays, have released 13 successful studio albums and clocked up 22 top 40 and four top 10 singles in the UK Chart – they will be teaming up with the Dublin-based quartet for a night of Alternative and Indie Rock music.
October 28 will see ‘80s legend Tony Hadley, former frontman of Spandau Ballet and known as one of pop music’s greatest vocalists, playing with his band for the first ever time in Cork City.
Later that same night, RTÉ 2FM radio presenter and DJ Jenny Greene will team up with visual artist and DJ Ant of Generic People, for a show which has sold out the last four years and is considered the highlight of the Jazz for clubbers and ravers.
Sunday night will see Europe’s premier tribute to Fleetwood Mac, Mack Fleetwood, take the stage, performing all the most-loved Fleetwood Mac hits in their biggest show yet, following two previous sold-out Jazz Festival concerts.
