Crime and justice: The 34-year-old Norwegian, together with his brother who is three years older, is charged with the murder or complicity in the murder of Hamse Hashi Adan (20) outside Lofsrud school in Mortensrud in Oslo on 7 October 2021. The brothers left Norway for Kosovo on 9 October, two days after the murder of the 20-year-old.

The 34-year-old has been detained in Kosovo since 21 February this year. The public prosecutor’s office asked for detention for up to four weeks with a ban on letters and visits, which the Oslo district court agreed to.

– The police will try to get an explanation from him over the next few days, the police wrote in a press release on Wednesday.

The eldest brother Valon Avdyli (37) was extradited to Norway from Turkey in March last year. He has since been in custody. He was recently indicted for the murder of the 20-year-old and for the attempted murder of seven other people who were standing near Adan when he was killed by several shots.

– When the investigation against the 34-year-old has ended, it will be considered whether a possible case against him should also go together with the case against his older brother, the police say.
