Culture and entertainment: – There is a lot going on. A lot of fun, says Marcus to NTB.

In May, the Norwegian pop duo will be on stage in Malmö and represent Sweden in the Eurovision final. But that is far from the only thing they have planned in the future.

– Around Eurovision time, we will release an album, which we have been waiting for for a very long time. Some new songs and such, so it will be great, says Martinus.

2024 has already started hectically, with the start of the tour “We Are Not The Same Tour” in Scandinavia and a lot of traveling in Europe for promos and pre-party performances before Eurovision.

– The Eurovision bubble is an adventure, says Marcus.

– We were in Amsterdam and performed for 8,000. Every single person in the hall is a die-hard Eurovision fan. So it was absolutely sick to stand there, says Martinus.

– It will continue in Scandinavia and then beyond in Europe towards the autumn and at the start of the new year, says Marcus.

– And then there will be a book, among other things, a new autobiography. And there will also be something else exciting that we are working on, he tells NTB, without revealing more.

According to the Swedish news agency TT, the book is entitled “Two voices, one story”. It was written together with the journalist Frida Söderlund.

– The book reveals truths that have never been told before, she says in a press release.

The last time Marcus and Martinus published a book was in 2016 with the biography “Our History”. But a lot has happened since then.

– It is a perfect opportunity for us to go out and travel in Europe again, the fact that we get to take part in the world’s biggest singing competition, with up to 250 million people watching, says Marcus.

The last time the duo was out on a European tour was before the corona pandemic. Then they were also on tour with Jason Derulo in Europe.

– But then the corona came, and it came at a very bad time, because we were going on a world tour in 2020.

Although the group is getting more and more international fans and is “Swedish” in Eurovision, they still haven’t forgotten that they are Norwegian.

And there will be time for a few days’ break at home in May.

– We get to celebrate 17 May at Trofors!

But there won’t be much relaxation after Eurovision week in Malmö at the beginning of May either. Then the boys’ tour continues already on 30 May in Gothenburg.

The two twins from Trofors in Nordland have already gained a fairly solid foothold outside Norway, but with Eurovision, new doors are opening.
