Peuhkurinen suffered the knee injury in training last week. She is not eligible for games until after the summer.
– Emma unfortunately injured her knee during a training session at the end of last week. After investigations, a meniscus injury was confirmed, which was operated on on Monday this week. Emma will first be seen back on the football field in the autumn of the 2024 season, says medical officer Simen Gilje Bergan in a statement.
Recently, LSK Kvinner also lost the Swedish attacker Amanda Johnsson Haahr to injury. She was injured in the top series match against Lyn. Investigations afterwards showed that the 28-year-old faces a longer period on the sidelines.
LSK recently stated that the club is in financial crisis and is taking immediate measures. All employees who are not players are partially furloughed.
LSK has stated that “it is about the club’s continued existence”.
