Economy and business: – We need to see more evidence that inflation will remain at a low level before we can cut interest rates, says Central Bank Governor Andrew Bailey in a statement on Thursday.
A policy rate of 5.25 per cent is the highest in the UK for 16 years.
The Bank of England has an inflation target of 2 percent.
