Crime and justice: The report about the violent incident came to the police via AMK at 9pm on Wednesday evening. According to the police, the incident took place outdoors near the church inside Vår Frelser’s graveyard.

– There was a witness who came to the scene, who reported it, operations manager Bjørn Gunnar Nysæter in the Oslo police district tells NTB.

– The man has been stabbed in the upper body, and according to health personnel at the scene, there are serious injuries, says Nysæter.

The police have no named suspects in the case.

– No one has been arrested, but as far as we know, there is a relationship between the parties here. It currently does not appear to be a random act. We have information that points in the direction of a specific person involved, says the operations manager.

– We are working on the basis that this has been a conflict between two people. We speak to people who have been in the area, and question a number of witnesses.

Several police patrols are searching for the suspect on Wednesday evening.

The man was conscious when he was sent to hospital.

Operations leader Erik Hestvik at the scene says they would like to make contact with people who may have seen someone running from Akersveien and towards Telthusbakken.
