Sport: Tea Løkke Nyberg (2), Emma Bergesen, Emilie Kruse, Iben Tillman, Madelen Haug Hansen, Andrea Dalen and Une Bjelland scored the goals in the big win.

Norway won all their matches in Austria, but will probably end up in second place behind France as three of the victories have come on penalties.

– This is an unbelievably delicious victory for the entire Norwegian ice hockey family, but of course first and foremost for the girls themselves, Norway’s ice hockey president Tage Pettersen told hockey.no after the promotion was secured.

2nd place or 1st place doesn’t matter as the top two move up to the elite next year. The championship is played in the Czech Republic. It is the first time since 1997 that the Norwegian ice hockey women play with the best.
