Sport: Windsurfer Mobekk struck with 2nd place in the Olympic class Iqfoil, where 17-year-old Tuva Oppedal also came fourth and thus achieved her best senior result in her career.

Høst continues to perform better and recorded the year’s best result with 3rd place in the Ilca 6 class (formerly Laser).

For the duo Helene Næss and Marie Rønningen it was 6th place in 49er FX. Hermann Tomasgaard, who won Olympic bronze in Tokyo and World Cup silver earlier this year, finished in 8th place in the men’s Ilca 7-sail.

– We have a strong team that is well prepared for the highlight of the year, the summer Olympics in Paris. It’s going to be an exciting few weeks in Marseille, where the sailing takes place, says national team manager Eirik VerĂĄs Larsen of the Norwegian Sailing Association.

– The World Cup regatta in Hyeres was very demanding with changing conditions from calm to mistral winds (40 knots). Our Norwegian sailors coped well with the unexpected and are on their way to their best performances, continues the former Olympic paddler.

Mobekk, Høst, Tomasgaard and Næss/Rønningen will all take part in the Olympics.
