Crime and justice: – I am deeply concerned about the development we are seeing. There are almost daily serious episodes of violence in Oslo, says Lae Solberg Dagbladet.

On the night of Sunday, a man in his 20s was shot in Greenland in Oslo. The man, who was inside a kebab restaurant, was seriously injured in the shooting.

Police have not yet arrested anyone following the shooting. The city council leader is asking for more police officers in the capital and points out that there have been 133 fewer in the past year.

– We have to have a stronger police effort in Oslo. It is disturbing that there are so many episodes – that the threshold for committing violence has become markedly lower. I urge the government to allocate significant resources to the police in Oslo, so that we can reverse this serious development, says the city council leader to the newspaper.
