Policy: Kristjánsson stays in The class match on Saturday asked if he is worried for what happens in the youth party.

– I think that there have been some political statements which, in any case, do not agree with Rødt’s adopted policy. Rødt is not a communist party, emphasizes Kristjánsson.

He believes that there is only a small minority in the party who support the new leadership in RU.

– The liberal commentariat gives the impression that what we now see in Rød Ungdom is real Rødt. It is wrong: we have taken these battles repeatedly, and I feel that the direction I place myself in has the support of the broad majority of the voters and members of Rødt.

He still wants to give them a chance.

– There has been a lot of noise in RU. I don’t understand much of it. There are so many different stories. Now this group has won the national meeting. We have to deal with that, and I really think we should welcome them.
