Crime and justice: The man is charged, among other things, with serious damage to Nidaros Cathedral. He tagged “Hitler” and “666”, as well as swastikas and other Nazi symbols at the national shrine.

– He has now contracted over 15 relationships in the last two weeks here in Trondheim. So now we want to put an end to it and believe there is enough risk of repetition that we have gone to the district court here today, says police attorney Anne Haave to Television 2.

The man also smashed several car windows at Lademoen and vandalized a Jewish cemetery earlier in April. There, three stars of David were lifted up, broken and scattered on the grass, according to the report Address.

He pleaded guilty to the damage to the shrine and the cemetery in a prison meeting in Trøndelag district court on Friday.

He himself asked to be released and objected to mental health care if the need arose. On Wednesday, the accused was taken care of by the healthcare system, but the following day it was decided that he was still not too ill to be imprisoned.

The man’s defender, lawyer Frode Wisth, will not comment on the ruling.
