War and conflicts: – In light of the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the growing needs on the ground, we are stepping up funding for support to the affected Palestinians, says the commission in a press release on Friday.
The money is intended to “step up the much-needed help with food, nutrition, health, water and sanitation as well as shelter”.
With Friday’s announcement, the EU’s aid to the Palestinians in Gaza and the rest of the region has reached 193 million euros since the turn of the year. This corresponds to just over NOK 2.3 billion at today’s exchange rate.
