Economy and business: The government strengthens the state funding of pilot training with NOK 7.5 million, informs UiT.

– Today’s news shows that the government sees the value of public pilot training in the north. From here, Norwegian airlines get pilots who are trained to fly in arctic weather and climate. We know this is important for, among other things, the air ambulance in Northern Norway, says Rector Dag Rune Olsen at UiT Norway’s Arctic University.

This spring’s admission to pilot education has 248 applicants for 12 places. Following the news of the funding, the university can now proceed with admission.
