Crime and justice: The two Australian brothers, aged 30 and 33, and the American, aged 33, were last seen on April 27, according to prosecutors in the far north-west state of Mexico.

According to the AFP news agency, the American FBI confirms on Friday that three dead bodies found in Santo Tomas are the missing persons. The FBI does not disclose anything more about the identities.

The discovery site is around 45 kilometers from Ensenada, where the three were to spend the night, and around 150 kilometers from the US border.

Three Mexican citizens have been questioned, the state authorities announced on Thursday. However, it is unclear whether they were involved in the disappearances.
